Background and Education

Toastmasters Membership: Member since 2022–present.

Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Information Systems from GA State Masters in Business Analytics from GA Tech (ongoing)

Professional Experience: Working as a Software Engineer at The Home Depot requires managing complex systems, collaborating across multiple teams, and maintaining a high-level view of project goals. This macro-level perspective is essential for a Division Director, who must guide, motivate, and support a team of Area Directors rather than focusing solely on individual clubs.

Skills and Strategic Vision

Strategic Planning & Finance: As Area Director for Area 42, Rudy developed and executed a success plan focused on club health and retention, coordinating with multiple club boards to align their individual goals with the broader District 44 mission. His work at The Home Depot also involves long-term strategic ensuring that the systems we build today are scalable and align with future organizational needs. Finance: Rudy is very hands-on when it comes to budgeting. He uses a combination of different apps and financial tools to track my spending, organize expenses, and plan ahead. Having this kind of personal system helps him stay on top of his finances, cut out waste, and adjust on the fly—which translates perfectly to keeping a Division’s resources well-managed and adaptable.

Leadership Philosophy: Stepping up to Division Director allows me to scale my impact and give back to the District on a larger level. Having served at the Club and Area levels, I want to help foster a collaborative environment where Area Directors feel supported and equipped to lead their respective clubs to excellence, while walking the path less traveled in leading other leaders

District Goals: The primary objective in my opinion is to provide support to all clubs in achieving excellence. I would also like to leverage my analytical background to identify high-potential areas for growth within the Division and ensure Area Directors have the precise data, training, and streamlined processes they need to effectively support their clubs’ unique challenges.

Operational Expertise

Engineering complex systems at The Home Depot inherently requires developing and documenting standard operating procedures. Within Toastmasters, organizing Division meetings, contests, and administrative tasks requires a similar systematic approach. I will rely on structured, and repeatable procedures rather than my instincts alone to ensure consistency and success across broader teams.
