Contest season is here! District 214 clubs are encouraged to begin planning, promoting, and conducting their 2026–2027 Club Speech Contests.
Club contests provide members with an exciting opportunity to challenge themselves, strengthen their communication skills, and experience one of Toastmasters’ most celebrated traditions. Whether competing, volunteering, judging, or cheering on fellow members, everyone can play a role in making contest season a success.
Club Contest Season
Now through December 12, 2026
Clubs may conduct any Toastmasters speech contest they choose at the club level. This gives clubs the flexibility to create a contest experience that best engages and serves their members.
However, only the following three contests will advance beyond the club level in District 214:
Humorous Speech Contest
Online Speech Contest
International Speech Contest
Clubs wishing to send contestants forward should complete these contests by December 12, 2026, in preparation for Area Contest Season.

January 15 – March 13, 2027
Winners of eligible club contests will have the opportunity to advance and represent their clubs during the next stage of competition.
Club officers are encouraged to begin early by identifying contest leaders, recruiting volunteers and judges, communicating opportunities to members, and selecting a contest date that allows plenty of time before the club contest deadline.
